Economics Institute of the CAS announces a competition for the position BUILDING ADMINISTRATOR.

BUILDING ADMINISTRATOR

We are CERGE-EI, a joint workplace of the Center for Economic Research and Doctoral Studies of Charles University and the Institute of Economics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, v.v.i. and have long been ranked among the institutions producing the highest quality economic research. We are currently looking for a technically focused colleague to join the Building Management Department team with responsibility for the management and maintenance of  our institute's headquarters, Schebka Palace, a protected cultural monument of the Czech Republic.

Your experience in ensuring the maintenance and repair of buildings is valued.

 

What will your job entail?

• cooperation in ensuring maintenance and repairs of the building, including negotiations with suppliers providing service activities in the building

• coordination of a team of 2 maintenance workers and 1 cleaner

• providing cleaning services beyond the scope of regular cleaning

• handling the requirements of other departments (internal service workplace)

• purchasing equipment and small assets, including market research

• participating in ensuring fire protection in the building

 

What do we need from you?

• Secondary education, ideally in a technical field

• practical experience with maintenance and repairs of buildings

• NV 194/2022 Coll. (formerly Decree 50/78 §6 to 1000V) an advantage

• knowledge of the English language an advantage

• knowledge of working on a PC (Word, Excel, e-mail)

• customer-oriented approach
